- 背景と目的
- 地球環境ファシリティの支援を受けて2017年10月に開始した国際窒素管理システム(INMS)プロジェクト(https://www.inms.international/)は、国連環境計画との連携で大きな進展を示し、2019年1月から開始した南アジア窒素ハブ(SANH)プロジェクト(https://sanh.inms.international/)を立ち上げるきっかけとなりました。一連の成功は、INMSに参加する日本の研究者も刺激し、日本において窒素管理研究を立ち上げる機会を得ることができました。それが、地球研・林FS「人・社会・自然をつないでめぐる窒素の持続可能な利用に向けて」(Sustai-N-ableまたはSusN)プロジェクトです。SusNは、自然科学、社会科学、人文科学との学際的アプローチと、食文化、教育、地方自治体、およびアンモニア燃料などの新しい窒素利用に関する様々なステークホルダーとの超学際的アプローチを含む包括的な窒素管理研究を目指します。SusNはINMSやSANHを含む国際的な取組との連携も重視します。この国際合同ワークショップでは、SusNの研究計画と他の国際プロジェクトの経験の情報を参加者で共有します。そして、プロジェクト間の今後の連携に重点を置きつつ、持続可能な窒素利用と環境保全に向けてステークホルダーを引き込みながらローカル、地域、およびグローバルスケールでどのように取り組んでいくかを自由に議論します。
