大学共同利用機関法人　人間文化研究機構　総合地球環境学研究所

2017年12月20日（水）～21日（木）に「第12回地球研国際シンポジウム」が京都国立国際会館（京都市左京区）にて開催されました。本シンポジウムは、地球研の研究成果を世界に発信することを目的として国内外の研究者コミュニティを対象に年に1回開催しており、2日間で166名の方にお越しいただきました。

今回のシンポジウムでは、時間と空間を超えて、ステークホルダーの間における資源、価値やガバナンスにおけるコンフリクトに焦点をあてた、持続可能な未来への新たなアプローチについて活発な議論がかわされました。

[1日目]

安成哲三所長による挨拶から始まり、谷口真人副所長がシンポジウムの趣旨を説明し、Peter H. Verburg氏による基調講演が行われました。続いてSession 1では陀安一郎教授による趣旨説明の後、Carol Kendall 氏、金本圭一郎氏、遠藤愛子准教授、Yoshihide Wada氏から発表があり、Roundtable Discussionでは中静透プログラムディレクターがファシリテーターを務めました。

[2日目]

Session 2では石井励一郎准教授の議長によるSession2の趣旨説明の後、高橋潔氏、馬奈木俊介氏、Garry Peterson氏から発表があり、Roundtable Discussionでは西條辰義プログラムディレクターがファシリテーターを務めました。

続いてのSession 3では谷口教授が趣旨を説明した後に研究発表をし、続いてJuan Castilla 氏、Victor Galaz氏から発表がありました。Roundtable Discussionは、杉原薫プログラムディレクターが、ファシリテーターを務めました。

二日間のシンポジウムの締めくくりとしてGeneral Discussionが執り行われ、再び谷口教授がファシリテーターとなり、活発な議論が行われました。最後に窪田教授の閉会の挨拶があり、盛会の内にシンポジウムを終えることができました。
