The 121st RIHN seminar

The 121th RIHN seminar is going to be held as follows.

The lecturer is Prof. Riichiro Mizoguchi, who is one of the pioneers and top runners in the field of ontology engineering.

In the field of information science an ontology is used to systematize basic concepts in the process of taking care of the relationships between things.

Ontology engineering is a method to build the bases (models) which represent the definitions of various things and the linkages between things through describing the conceptual system in a computer.

I hope this seminar will be a good opportunity to deliberate the possibility or effective ways of ontology use as a method to understand the global environmental studies systematically.
