Speaker:Drs. David Rapport and Luisa Maffi (Principal EcoHealth Consulting, British Columbia, Canada)

Following topics were discussed:
A general lecture and discussion on eco-cultural health in the context of Lake Biwa, covering the following points:
 1) What constitutes eco-cultural health?
 2) What are the indicators of eco-cultural health?
 3) What is the relationship of eco-cultural health to human health and well-being in the Lake Biwa region?
 4) What are the basic indicators for a comprehensive assessment of the eco-cultural health of Lake Biwa?
 5) What is a practical plan for implementing an assessment of this nature?
 6) Who might be potential partners with RIHN in this activity - eg UNU?
