Route to the RIHN (from Kyoto Seika-daigaku-mae station of Eizan Railway)
To all those coming on foot from Kyoto Seika-daigaku-mae Station via Eizan Railway
As of June 13, 2023, a route search using Google Map near the Kyoto Seika University Station ticket gate will show an incorrect route.
Please refer to the following photos for your convenience.
The walking time from Kyoto Seika University Station to the RIHN is about 10 minutes.
1: This is the platform where passengers arriving from the Demachiyanagi direction arrive. After exiting the ticket gate, turn right.
2: Follow the road to where the road splits.
3: When you come to the split in the road, turn left.
4: When you reach a large two-lane road, turn right and follow the road for about two minutes.
5: When you see a push-button crosswalk, cross it and then turn right. Continue in the same direction of travel as before, walking along the large street for about 3 minutes.
(Attention!: Do not go straight after crossing the croswalk. You will see the Kyoto University Experiment Forest ahead, but you will not be able to enter the RIHN from the forest.)
6: You will see the main gate of the RIHN on your left.
7: Follow the road. On your right is the RIHN House, but the main building is at the top of the hill.
8: Continue along the road.
9: At the middle of the hill, there is a brown sign "Entrance". Go through the wooden deck to the security office.
10: The security office is located just before the stairs beyond the wooden deck.
11: Please complete the entry procedures at the security office. Welcome to our RIHN!
