- 【要 旨】

Using mountain regions as an empirical lens, my research examines the development and implementation of regional policies at the domestic, national, transnational, and global levels. More specifically, I will provide examples from around the world of how regions are constructed by social and political actors, to what ends, with what means, and with what consequences. Through the analysis of regional mountain governance, my research addresses more general questions concerning multi-level governance, policy diffusion, and policy integration.
