Under the direction and supervision of a faculty member, a research assistant earns wages while assisting the researcher in performing a variety of tasks necessary for research activities.

A system of admission/tuition fee waiver (Payment Postponement) is available to provide financial assistance to students who are unable to pay the admission fee/tuition due to financial difficulties. Applications for tuition fee waiver are accepted twice a year. Those who are approved for tuition fee waiver are exempted from the full or half amount of tuition fee for the semester.

Global Environmental Studies Program students are provided with subsidies for expenses necessary for their research activities including purchases of books and materials and travel expenses.

Students in Global Environmental Studies Program are to be provided with laptop computers by loan.
