Research Interests
I am studying the long-term sequence of the human-nature relationships from the viewpoint of resource management. On the basis of the analysis of faunal remains from archaeological sites, my research mainly focuses on the reconstructions of subsistence activities, land use systems and socio-economic structures among prehistoric foraging groups such as during the Jomon era in Japan.
