What is the Joint Research Project on Environmental Isotope Studies?
The Environmental Isotope Study Collaborative Research Program uses isotope method which is used in subdivided specialized academic fields, such as geochemistry, hydrology, ecology, geology, mineralogy, anthropology, food science (locality determination), and forensic science. The isotope method, which is used in specialized academic fields, is used in a wide range of environmental studies.
Eligibility for Equipment Use and Annual Schedule
Laboratories
- Available to RIHN research project members.
- Participants in the "Joint Research on Environmental Isotope Studies."
Previous fiscal year
- Around Jan.
- There are three categories: "(A) General Joint Research" and "(B) Laboratory and Analysis Unit Joint Research," "(S) ORNHIA-joint Research."
- Around Feb.
- Application deadline
- Around March
- Review and decision by Environmental Isotope Studies Committee
Current fiscal year
- April - February of next year
- Research period (use of equipment)
- Around December
- Presentation of results at The Environmental Isotope Study Symposium (interim acceptable)
No later than December 22, 2023
Next year
- End of April next year
- Submit research report
- Around May of following year
- Presentation of research results at the Japan Geoscience Union Meeting (recommended)
