Professor Timothy Kohler is a leading archaeologist with a broad perspective on research and topics that includes understanding the roots of wealth inequality. He has also pursued interdisciplinary socio-environmental system synthesis with the scope of long-term sustainability. During his stay at the RIHN, he is developing theory and methods for the study of long-term sustainability in local, regional, and global context, in collaboration with Dr Yasuhisa Kondo and his colleagues. He is also contributing to the development of RIHN’s intellectual foundation by means of providing a connection to his international research network in global sustainability and data aggregation.
