Chinese urban lifestyle has been drastic transformed thanks to the rapid urbanization and motorization since the 1990s. The decreasing physical activity has contributed to the increasing prevalence of overweight and obesity and related health problems in China. This presentation will explore the rapid urbanization, walking and biking, and overweight and obesity of different age groups in Chinese cities using three recent studies conducted in Yangtze River delta region. |
