RIHN project members awarded best paper award of the 1st Euro-Mediterranean Conference for Environmental Integration

Two members of the RIHN project The Sanitation Value Chain: Designing Sanitation Systems as Eco-Community-Value System, Ryusei Ito, Naoyuki Funamizu, received the Best paper award for their paper “Morphological, chemical and Electro chemical carbon based and nobel metal electrode characterization for use in water electrochemical disinfection”. The full authors are Mokhtar Guizani, Kento Yajima, Toshikazu Kawaguchi, Ryusei Ito, Naoyuki Funamizu.

The conference took place in Sousse, Tunisia, 22-25 November 2017 (for conference details see: here).

The paper was selected as one of the 10 best papers of the conference (one of each topic), as judged by the scientific committee.

Decisions are based on the following criteria:

  • -Originality and newness of contribution
  • -Appropriate application of methodology
  • -Relevance to environmental integration
  • -Effective communication of the central ideas of the work
