As a member of the National Institutes for the Humanities since 2004, RIHN
has been conducting its research activities on the basis of six-year medium-term
goals and plans. Each member institute conducts its activities in accordance
with the medium-term goals and plans of the National Institutes for the Humanities
as a whole, and each fiscal year the institute compiles a report and carries
out a self-evaluation of its performance.
Achievements during the mid-term period
are evaluated by the National University Corporation Evaluation Committee (the
Corporation Evaluation Committee) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports,
Science, and Technology, and the results of evaluation are published. The status
of activities related to education and research is evaluated by the National
Institution for Academic Degrees and University Evaluation at the request of
the Corporation Evaluation Committee, and the evaluation is submitted to the
Committee.
