Core Research Hub will hold the Futurability Initiatives International Workshop as follows.
Since its establishment in 2001, Research Institute for Humanity and Nature (RIHN) has been developing concepts, theories and methods capable of describing and raveling out the complex realities of human-nature interactions as the very root of present global environmental problems. To this end, RIHN has run a variety of interdisciplinary, Domain-based research projects, and the RIHN Futurability Initiatives have recently launched Initiative-based projects in order to embody transdisciplinarity, in that they seek to re-define the role of science in society and to co-create scientific innovation and social implementation through collaborations with various stakeholders.
The Futurability Initiatives, as well as Initiative-based projects organize an international workshop on transdisciplinary research, with an emphasis on co-design and co-production processes of knowledge on global environmental changes. The aims of this workshop are to share our research experiences of environmental problems, to identify and integrate elements of our theories and practices into a single transdisciplinary framework, and to stimulate innovative scopes, concepts, and methodologies for transdisciplinary understanding of the causes of, and possible solutions to, global environmental problems.
