Report

In the Pre-Symposium, Project 1-1 ICCAP held the project workshop with some sessions.Its brief summary is outlined below:
1. The objectives and plan of the ICCAP project were reviewed highlighted and its progress at this stage was discussed.
2. The Rector of Cukurova University, Prof. Akinoglu gave a keynote lecture on the research environment of Turkish universities, especially on the situation of international cooperation and environment-related research.
3. In the Session 1, the present outcomes of the sub-groups were reported and reviewed.
4. In the Session 2, four Turkish members presented the history and current situation of climate, land, water and agriculture, and possible climate change impacts on theses environment were discussed.
5. With other RIHN two projects, the P1-1 ICCAP organized the inter-project plenary session, and there two project members gave talks, two members gave comments, and the project leader chaired the second half of the session.
6. In the Session 3, the Japanese members discussed the future activities and timetable.This session was semi-closed one held in Japanese.
